SOLITUDE | தனிமை is the funny, moving story of Subramani, a lonely old man who finds the path to a joyful, full life.

When he was young, Subramani lived in a joint family surrounded by loud, intrusive family members. He longed for privacy and some space. Finally, he left with his wife and made a life for himself in the city.

Now, retired and widowed, Subramani is alone. His children have their own lives. They come to visit him only occasionally. The solitude that Subramani once craved as a young man, now weighs heavy on him. But then he makes a new friend who shows him how to live a meaningful life.

There are separate shows in Tamil and English. The English translation is by S. Suresh and Ram Rajagopalan.
