Rashmi Rustagi as Shanta

I played Shanta's role in 30 Days in September, in 2010 and then again in 2011. Even after so many performances, Shanta's character continues to intrigue and haunt me. A woman in complete denial of her past but yet, who is condemned to relive it through her daughter - Shanta's character is heart-wrenching to watch from the audience, but a complex, rewarding role for an actor. It has been quite a journey to discover Shanta's angst and a challenge as an actor to bring her to life.
