New Season and Auditions

Auditions will be held on Saturday, June 22nd, for our first production of the season – Boiled Beans on Toast, by the legendary playwright, the late Girish Karnad. This play is set in Bengaluru and has a large cast. We are seeking South Asian actors both male and female across all age groups.

Prepare a 2 minute dramatic monologue which exhibits movement and shows a range of emotions. All auditions and rehearsals will be held at our studio in Belmont, CA. 

Note: Appointments are required for an audition. Walk-ins are not permitted.

Founded in 2014, Bay Area Drama Company is a 501(c)(3) non-profit theatre company dedicated to meaningful theater. Our past productions have addressed social justice themes such as police treatment of minorities, the rise of Islamophobia after 9/11, gender dynamics and patriarchy and inequality/class conflict.
