Foothill College's Culture Clatter

This year has been crazy for theatre programs in colleges. How do you teach a performing art when classes are on Zoom? Well… you do your fall theatre production on Zoom too!

This year, for their fall production, Foothill College is doing a festival of short plays “showcasing new works and playwrights from the vibrant cultural and ethnic communities of Silicon Valley”. The festival is free to watch.

Three Bay Area theatre groups are presenting their work. We are up on Dec 5th at 5pm with two short plays:

• Bobbi & Bobby - written and directed by Basab Pradhan and featuring Havish Ravipati, Grace Liu, Rita Bhatia and Pierre Gopal.

• Suprabatham - written by Sindu Singh; adapted and directed by Sathish Sattanathan. Featuring Anju Prakash, Anirudh Mohan, Vaishnavi Sridhar, Paul Costello and Sunanda Mukundan.

Duration: 20 mins each

Both short plays were in Afsaaney, our March 2020 show, directed by Sindu Singh, that we had to cancel because of the pandemic. They are both funny takes on the Indian immigrant experience. Not to be missed.
